The Resilient Faith (2 Corinthians 1:12 – 2:17)

I. Be guided by a good conscience (2 Corinthians 1:12-24; 1 Timothy 1:5, 19)

II. Reflect the compassionate heart of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:1-11)

  1. Be considerate of others (2 Corinthians 2:1-4; Proverbs 27:6; 2 Corinthians 1:23-24)
  2. Seek to help other grow (2 Corinthians 2:5-6; Ephesians 4:15; James 3:13-18)
  3. Forgive and encourage those who wronged us (2 Corinthians 2:7-11; Ephesians 4:27-32)

III. Walk with unfailing victory in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:12-17)

  1. God leads believers in triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14; Romans 8:28; Acts 2:41; Acts 4:4; Colossians 2:15)
  2. Believers “are unto God a sweet savour of Christ” (2 Corinthians 2:14c-17; 2 Corinthians 2:16; 2 Corinthians 3:5; Romans 8:31, 37)
