III. The Principle of Godly Example (1 Corinthians 8:8-13)

  1. Be an example to all believers (1 Timothy 4:12)
  2. True Christian liberty is governed by love in serving others, not stumbling them (1 Corinthians 8:9; 1 Corinthians 10:23; Galatians 5:13)

IV. The Principle of Edification (1 Corinthians 10:23)

V. The Principle of Exaltation (1 Corinthians 10:31)

  1. All that we do will either honour or dishonour God (Psalms 34:3; Isaiah 25:1; John 4:23-24; Psalms 99:5; 1 Samuel 15:22; Colossians 3:17; James 4:10; Acts 2:46-47)
  2. Reflecting God in all we do to please Him (Hebrews 13:5; Philippians 1:27; 1 Thessalonians 4:1)

VI. The Principle of Evangelism (1 Corinthians 10:32-33)

  1. Paul’s desire: “Give none offense” (1 Corinthians 10:32-33)
  2. All eyes are on us! (1 Peter 3:15; Matthew 5:16; 2 Timothy 1:8)
